General Studio Policies:

Refund policy
Arts in Motion makes every effort to hold each class offered. In the event that a class does not reach the minimum number of students, AiM reserves the right to cancel any class at any time. If such an instance should occur, you will be notified by email or telephone and we will discuss suitable alternatives for your child. If none can be agreed upon, AiM will refund your tuition payment in full. We do not give refunds for any other reason, including but not limited to illness, vacations, inclement weather, etc.

Absentee policy
We encourage consistent attendance in order to achieve the most familiarity, comprehension, and progress, but understand that sometimes there are circumstances in which students must be absent. Arts in Motion does not give refunds for absences. If you are absent from class, we will help you choose a makeup class. Makeup classes need to be scheduled at least one week in advance.

Tuition, discount, and late fee policies

  • Registration fees: A non-refundable annual family registration fee of $25 is due upon enrollment to help offset administrative costs and any studio communications distributed throughout the year.  Registration fee is waived for Ensemble families.

Summer registration fees are $10 per family, with no discounts for ensemble families or online registrations.

  • Tuition: Fall/Spring sessions only.  Tuition fees are calculated according to the number of weeks for the year and not on a 4 week month.  Studio closures for calendar holidays and breaks are figured into tuition rates and will not be pro-rated.  Arts in Motion will not pro-rate tuition for any reason.

Monthly Payment Option:  Monthly payments must be via automatic credit card charge or ACH withdrawal.  Checks will not be accepted.  First month’s tuition and registration fees are payable upon enrollment.  For October thru May, automatic credit card charges or ACH withdrawals will be submitted on the first of every month.  A signed Credit Card/ACH Authorization Agreement is required.  If your card or bank transfer is rejected for any reason, we will notify you and another account number must be provided by the 10th of the month before late fees are applied.

Semester Discounted Payment Option:  This option offers a 5% discount off the monthly rates.  Payments can be made via credit card charge, ACH withdrawal, or personal check.  First semester's tuition and registration fees are payable upon enrollment.  Second semester payments are due in January.  Deadline to choose this option is September 15th for the first semester and February 15th for the second semester.

  • Family Discount: Fall/Spring sessions only.  Family Discount does not apply to Summer Session.  Subtract 25% from second child’s tuition, 50% from third child’s tuition.  Families are eligible regardless of payment schedule (monthly or semester).

**Ensemble families have a separate tuition and discount program and are not eligible for the Family discount.

  • Late fees: There will be a $25.00 late fee applied to the account balance for payments made after the 10th of the month.  Late fees will be compounded monthly.  There is a $20.00 returned check fee.

Unless prior arrangements have been made, we cannot permit a student to continue lessons if his or her tuition balance is over 30 days delinquent.  The student may resume classes once the account balance has been restored to a current status.

Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, or if it is questionable, please call Arts in Motion, after 2:00pm, at 314.968.4583 and listen for a voicemail message regarding classes. If you class is cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions, we will help you choose a makeup class.

Adds/Transfers/Withdrawals
Students may add or transfer classes at any time with the permission or recommendation of the instructor.

For class withdrawals, we require a 2 week written notice, in person, in order to avoid charging your account for the following month.  Students who withdraw mid-month will not receive a pro-rated credit or refund for the remainder of the month.  Please see a staff member to complete the appropriate paperwork.

Liability
Students must be supervised by parents when not in class. Students must wait inside the building and be picked up from class on time. Transportation, before care, after care, and meal services are NOT provided. A $15.00 late fee is charged for late pick-ups and early drop-offs exceeding 20 minutes.

Insurance and Legal

AiM does not carry medical insurance for its students. Although all activities are performed with the students' safety as the utmost concern, all students are required to be covered under their own families' insurance policies. If an injury should occur, you will only be compensated through your own family insurance policy.

By enrolling your child in classes or camps, you are indicating that you accept the following:
