4 Things Every Parent Should Know Before Choosing A Dance Studio

According to those parents, these are some of our most significant attributes:

  • Studio Philosophy Artistic/Managing Director Alicia Jonas
We emphasize an artistic, fun, joyful, non-competitive dance experience to help our students develop their own unique artistic personality and appreciate the joy of movement.  We strive to provide a meaningful and positive experience for every child.  All of our classes utilize only age-appropriate movement and music.  There are no recitals and no little ones in makeup.

  • Qualifications of Instructors
You can be certain that our instructors have the education and experience to provide your child with a fun, artistic dance class where he or she is continually challenged and inspired.

-All of our instructors are adults. It is our belief that adult instructors possess a greater level of maturity and valuable experience. They are more skilled in structuring classes most effectively, maintaining control over the classroom, and preventing and/or addressing any behavioral issues that may arise.

-All instructors have dance degrees and professional dance experience. Your child can benefit from their education and experiences.

-Each instructor has many years of teaching experience, and many have completed additional Magnificent Movement™ training.

-Instructors are under continuous review and counsel by the Program Director to ensure the most successful class possible.

  • Quality of Classes & ProgramsArtistic/Managing Director Alicia Jonas

Our early childhool, preschool, and kindergarten classes utilize principles of education, development, and dance to create a moving experience, building smart, strong, joyful dancers who gain an understanding of movement that lasts a lifetime.  These classes are enjoyable, entertaining, and filled with information.  Children are learning, but feel as if they’re playing and only know they’re having FUN.

AiM’s traditional classes build on those same principles of education, development, and dance, and take it to the next level.  Younger dancers are introduced to the traditional class format with an added twist-- fun, guided activities help encourage creativity and individuality, while imagery helps reinforce ideas and builds retention.  As dancers advance, they are introduced to more difficult skills, concepts, and combinations, resulting in increased stamina, strength, kinesthetic and sequential memory, and body awareness.

AiM also has an excellent Ensemble program for dancers who wish to improve their dance skills and perform throughout the community.

  • Smaller Studio = Personal Service
We take pride in the fact that we are a small studio.  We have someone at the front desk during most classes who is happy to answer any questions or assist you with payments, scheduling, or arranging make up classes.  Instructors know every student by name and quickly become attuned to each student’s individual strengths, challenges, and learning style. Our small class sizes allow instructors to constantly monitor every student’s progress, ensuring each student is in the right class for them.
